Retooling yoU: Team Portrait
In Team Portrait, I'll demonstrate a fantastic visual facilitation method for learning who's in the room. I'll cover the textbook example of a team portrait, then demonstrate variations where participants tap into their own creativity to build trust and deepen relationships, all while practicing skills they'll need later in a creative, participatory workshop. The Team Portrait affirms individuals' identity, draws on their strengths, and gives you as a facilitator insight into their expectations for the work ahead.

Retooling yoU: Agreements
In Agreements, we'll cover ground rules for good meetings. These are the behaviors by which participants agree to hold themselves and each other acountable to in order to be in partnership with each other. As a group, we'll harvest your favorite Agreements, I'll share a few of my own, and we'll come away with a picklist you can use when you're designing your next meeting.

Retooling yoU: Principle Posters
In Principle Posters, I'll share a series of easy-to-draw-on-a-flipchart visual concepts that shine a light on human dynamics. Principle Posters are lenses to help your participant better understand human behaviors. They are simple images that can be drawn in a matter of seconds to help participants objectively understand the dynamics that YOU see in the room as an outside observer. And with that objective lens, they can reengage in the conversation without falling into mental traps.

NOVA Scribes: The Read the Room Workbook
Marsha Acker returns to NOVA Scribes to introduce us to her Read the Room Workbook! She'll share groundbreaking framework to decode and influence group dynamics: the 4-Player Model. In every conversation, participants take on one of four key roles—Mover, Follower, Opposer, and Bystander. When these roles are recognized and skillfully balanced, communication flows, ideas deepen, and collaboration thrives.

Retooling yoU: Vision & Choices
In Vision & Choices, we'll practice using two uncommon Grove templates to establish a future vision for your practice and build a bridge back to the present. Vision & Choices is one part inspirational and one part practical. They draw from the practices of strengths-based leadership, positive psychology, and appreciative inquiry to envision an idealized but achievable future that's within your power to achieve.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your pricing structure, this session offers practical insights and language that will help you approach pricing conversations with greater ease and professionalism.

Retooling yoU
In Design Patterns, we'll cover some of the best practices for designing participatory group processes. Design patterns might not show up on the agenda, but they're an essential part of making sure your sessions are engaging, inclusive, and productive. Design patterns include things like room set up and seating arrangements, the degree of structure, buffering activities, the 17 different learning styles, and the participant mix.

NOVA ScribesPersonal History & Author Talk: Spiritual Edge
In part one, Brian will demonstrate how to facilitate a personal history: a graphic timeline that captures an individual's life, learnings, career, family, highlights, and lowlights. The personal history is a great activity for coaches, family members, and coworkers to understand each others' histories, defining moments, and stories.
And, the subject will be Joran Oppelt! Joran will be the latest in our Author Talk series. In part two, he'll be talking about his new book, Spiritual Edge: Exploring the Boundaries and Evolution of Religion. It addresses religious tools such as prayer and faith formation, challenges the status quo of traditional religious thinking, and points the way toward religious innovation.

Retooling yoU: The Meeting Startup
In The Meeting Startup: The make-or-break moment in the meeting, we'll cover how to frame a meeting for success. We'll discuss the four area you MUST cover at the beginning of every meeting that are the difference between success and failure. We'll discuss Framing: techniques used to create containers for honest and authentic conversations. And as a group, we'll share our best methods for setting the stage, creating the right atmosphere, and making sure everyone in the room is on the same page and ready to work as their best selves.

Retooling yoU: Discovery
In Discovery: The key to winning work in the first conversation, we'll cover and practice using PLACES, Please: a proven method for effective initial conversations with potential clients. PLACES, Please is not a rigid process or a strict checklist: it's a dynamic and organic framework that guarantees you get the information you need to price and design winning experiences. And as a group, we'll discuss the questions most important to YOU during your intake calls.
